Ormond Medical Arts has been recognized as a Patient-Centered Medical Home
Updated: Aug 30, 2019
We are pleased to announce that Ormond Medical Arts (OMA), a Complete Health practice, has been recognized as a Patient-Centered Medical Home by NCQA (National Committee for Quality Assurance), the national leader in the PCMH concept. NCQA’s mission is to improve the quality of health care.
A medical home is not a place, but a way to organize primary care so it’s “the way patients want it to be.” Since 2008, NCQA has built the most widely used medical home model. More than 13,000 practice sites and 67,000 clinicians across the U.S. have earned the NCQA PCMH Recognition seal.
What This Means To You:
Access and Convenience – Your Ormond Medical Arts primary care team is more accessible with convenient office hours and expanded services all in one location.
Quality – PCMH solidifies our commitment to providing quality health care from the best outcomes to superior management of diseases, disorders and aging.
Whole-Patient Care – Becoming a recognized PCMH means we treat the whole you; not just your symptoms or a single condition.
Your Personal Health Team – The patient-centered medical home is a model of care that puts patients at the forefront of care. PCMHs build better relationships between patients and their clinical care teams.
Patient-Centered Medical Homes are driving some of the most important reforms in modern health care. A growing body of scientific evidence shows PCMHs are reducing hospital and emergency department visits, mitigating health disparities, and improving patient outcomes – all at lowered costs to everyone. Medical homes inspire quality in care, cultivate more engaging patient relationships, and capture savings through expanded access and delivery options that align patient preferences with payer and provider capabilities.
Ormond Medical Arts has been serving the community for more than 45 years. With four physicians, four physician assistants and a full medical office team, the practice is more than just a primary care clinic. Ormond Medical Arts welcomes walk-ins, extended and convenient hours along with special programs for seniors. We also offer on-site laboratory services, diagnostic imaging and dedicated clinical research.
NCQA is a private, non-profit organization dedicated to improving health care quality. NCQA accredits and certifies a wide range of health care organizations.
